The Sooland RC Modelers are having their annual SUMMER FUN FLY on August 26th, the last Sunday of August, at Sparling Field located off Highway 20 past Martin's airfield. Map & directions at left. Start time is 9:00am.


The Sioux City Rivercade in association with Sooland RC Modelers will have an event July 14th at Sparling Field. A trainer aircraft will be available for the public to fly at no cost. Must be at least 12 years of age to fly the trainer. Come enjoy the aircraft display with flight demos and try your hand at flying a remote control aircraft. Times - 10:00am to 3:00pm weather permitting.

Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the day, everyone is welcome! A lunch wagon will be on site for lunch serving your favorite food.

For the pilot's: There will be no landing fee for either event.  

One fun event is scheduled for the August Fun Fly with $25 for 1st, $20 for 2nd, $15 for 3rd, $10 for 4th & $5 for 5th.

The club offers free training to anyone who is willing to learn. To contact one of the club's trainers, click Trainers!  It is suggested that anyone interested in learning to fly RC, contact one of the trainers before purchasing any equipment. Come join in the fun!!
